Novak Djokovic vs Rafael Nadal live stream: Time, channels and how to watch French Open quarter-final online

The Novak Djokovic vs Rafael Nadal live stream is by some distance the biggest match in this year's French Open so far — so you won't want to miss the action at Roland-Garros.

These two have met once or twice before of course — just the small matter of 58 times, in fact!

Djokovic leads that head to head by 30-28, but Nadal, as you might imagine, has the edge on clay: 19-8. That said, it was the Serbian world no.1 who triumphed when they played in last year's French Open, at the semi-final stage.

Djokovic has already won the first mini-battle of this quarter-final, with the match having been scheduled for an evening slot at Roland-Garros. It will start at 8.45 p.m. local time (7.45 p.m. BST / 2.45 p.m. ET), and Nadal has previously stated he doesn't like night games on clay, because "humidity is higher, the ball is slower."

Will that give Djokovic the advantage in this massive French Open match on the Court Philippe-Chatrier? We'll find out tomorrow.

Djokovic, looking to win his 21st Grand Slam title and catch up to Nadal’s tally of Majors, has been in scintillating form at this year’s French Open.

The Serb dispatched Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka, Slovakia’s Alex Molcan, Slovenia’s Aljaz Bedene and Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman, all in straight sets, in the first four rounds to make it to the quarters.

Rafael Nadal, meanwhile, had to exert a little more effort to make it to the top eight.

After beating Australia’s Jordan Thompson, France’s Corentin Moutet and Dutch player Botic van de Zandschulp in straight sets in his first three matches, the Spaniard had to dig deep to survive a four hour and 22-minute marathon against Canadian ninth seed Felix Auger Aliassime.

Nadal eventually won the five-setter 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to set up the quarter-final clash against arch-rival Djokovic.

“A huge challenge and probably the biggest one that you can have here in Roland Garros,” Novak Djokovic said about the match after his fourth-round win.

Friday is set to feature some of the best tennis action as both current world number one Novak Djokovic and former world number one Rafael Nadal will take to the courts. The Serbian will take on Slovenia's Aljaž Bedene, while the Spanish international will take on Netherlands' Botic Van De Zandschulp.

Ahead of what promises to be an exciting game in the third round of the French Open 2022, here is a look at how to watch Novak Djokovic vs Aljaz Bedene and Rafael Nadal vs Botic Van De Zandschulp live in India, the UK, the US and Africa.

21-time Grand Slam champion and 13-time French Open winner Rafael Nadal arrived in Paris with a cloud of uncertainty around his fitness and preparations for the second major of the year.

A season that began with a sensational Aussie Open win and an ATP 500 title at Acupulco got hampered by a rib injury at Indian Wells that saw him lose the title round and followed by a recurring foot issue at the Masters 1000 in Rome.

Nadal looked untroubled in the first three rounds here at the French Open as he came through in straight sets each time, but it was much different against the 21-year-old being coached by none other than his uncle Toni Nadal, i.e Felix Auger- Aliassime.

Auger-Aliassime was off to a quick start breaking the Nadal serve to go up 3-1 after saving break points on his serve at 2-1. Another Nadal service break followed as the Canadian rushed to a 6-1 first set.

It was a hard fought second set but King of Clay broke up 4-3 to close the set 6-3 as he looked like crawling back into the match. The third set was all Nadal as he broke serve twice to take a two sets to one lead with a convincing 6-2 set.

Just when it looked like it was clinical Nadal at Roland Garros again, Auger- Aliassime played some big strokes early in the fourth set to break. Despite losing the break, the Canadian did extremely well to break back again and close the set 6-3, to force a decider.

The fifth set was off to an even start and questions loomed on Nadal’s body holding on for a long one- but the Spaniard upped the aggression up 4-3 to break the Canadian and serve out the match to improve his Roland Garros record to 109-3 Win/Loss and set up the Mother of All Battles on Tuesday.
