April 9th - 10th, Online & In-Person

About CJS

The Harvard Crimson's CJS is a two-day event for high school reporters of all experience levels. Participants will engage in workshops, simulations, and seminars led by Crimson Editors and Executives across our content boards. Besides learning from experienced college journalists, students will also have the chance to interact with professional journalists from top publications such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and more.

This year, CJS will be held in a hybrid format. In addition to our virtually-accessible lectures, panels, and workshops, up to 50 students will have the chance to experience in-person CJS at the historic Harvard Crimson building! Visit us at 14 Plympton St and partake in interactive journalism exercises in a small team of enthusiastic, like-minded peers. These spots are first-come, first-served, and we're so excited to have students back in the building!

By participating in CJS, participants will improve their reporting skills, develop new ideas to implement into their own newspapers, and gain access to a network of dedicated Harvard Crimson mentors. Central to our spring conference is growth; no matter their experience level, journalists will strengthen and advance the reporting and writing skills necessary to effectively run a newspaper.

We look forward to seeing you there!
